DRESS REHEARSAL
It is always difficult to give exact timings for the dress rehearsal however we are planning to run the entire show on the afternoon of Saturday 28th May 2011.
All performers will be required to attend so that quick changes and running orders may be worked out. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to sign in.

EXTRA REHEARSAL FOR UNIVERSAL SCENE & COSMIC CREEPERS WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY 29TH MAY AT 10.30AM IN GALA ACADEMY.
All costumes should be worn
All hire costumes will not be available until the performances and class uniforms should be worn in place of costumes at the Dress Rehearsal.
THE DRESS REHEARSALS ARE NOT OPEN TO PARENTS OR PUBLIC
Attendance is compulsory for all performers if they wish to take part in the show.
Please note – All classes are running as normal on this day before the rehearsal.
TICKET SALES
Tickets will be on sale in The Old Parish & St Paul’s Church on Saturday 14th May from 9.30am – 2.00pm and on the 21st May from 3.00pm – 4.30pm
A total of 4 tickets per performer are available during these two weeks. Please ensure you buy or send someone to buy your allocation as any remaining tickets are on open sale at the dress rehearsal.
Tickets are priced at:
£9.00 per adult
£8.00 OAP and children (child under 16)
We are unable to reserve or hold tickets. All tickets must be bought and paid for at the ticket desk.
PLEASE NOTE: TICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SCHOOL OFFICE.
Galashiels Show Arrangements
To comply with safety, security and child protection the following rules will apply during the show weekend.
On performance day please arrive at 11.45am.
On entering the school you will be directed to our “Stage Door”
At this point performers only will be permitted backstage. There will be a sign in/out desk at the stage door and performers will not be allowed out until the end of the day after both performances.
We have to be very strict with all our health and safety and child protection rules and only staff disclosed by us will have access backstage.
Arrangements:
The show times are 1.00pm and 4.30pm.
Children should bring any snacks or packed tea that they might require. Drinks will be provided backstage for them during the show and a tuck shop will be available for performers.
No pupils will be permitted to leave between the shows.
No valuables should be brought as the school can not be held responsible for any losses.
All hair must be worn in a classical bun without a fringe. Please provide your own hairbrush, bun net and grips.
No jewellery, piercings, tattoos or nail varnish should be worn.
All costumes and personal belongings should be clearly named.
Children should provide their own make-up for performances only. There will be helpers able to apply make-up if help is needed.
DVD
There will be a DVD made of the shows which will be available to buy.

No unauthorised use of camera’s or recording equipment is allowed.

All costumes should be worn to class on the morning of the 14th May and in the afternoon on the 21st May. All head dresses will be given out at the performances.
When sewing straps to fit please sew straps on straight over the shoulder attaching on the back of bodice. Please remember to stretch the bodice to fit when ready to sew. Any other small sewing jobs will be explained when costumes are handed out.
